WATER CONTAMINATION AND MINES
The immediate neighbors to this mine site as well a very strong, and large group of town of Albion citizens are VERY concerned about the location of this mine site of a greater than 20% slope directly above the wetland corridor that was adpoted as a protected area by The Town of Albion Comprehensive Plan. This approval by the Town of Albion Board flys in the face of their own comprehensive plan. The potential for run off into the wetlands, and contamination of both the wetlands and aquifer that we are dependent on for drinking water is VERY REAL.
